UPDATES - more later and with pictures

smileyAfter a while in the on-line wilderness,  we are back to let you know what is happening in the local area.  While we have been quiet in cyber-space, our Facebook page has been keeping people up-to-date. Firstly, thanks to everyone who made our annual Birdsland Mini-Beasts Festival in April such a success.  We had loads of young families and so much for everyone to do.

Permeable surfaces for sustainable landscape design

Karen Alexander from Johns Hill Landcare Group was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in the recent Queens Birthday Honours List for services to the community and to the environment.  Congratulations Karen - such a well-deserved honour for a tireless community and environmental advocate over a 40 year career which involved a huge amount of voluntary work.  We wouldn't have the Southern Dandenongs Landcare Group without your help and support so thnks Kare and well done.
