Friends of Minak Reserve invite you to a planting of the Minak Reserve swamp and raingarden project to celebrate World Environment Day. Minak Reserve is precious piece of bushland and a catchment for 6 small streams which meet, join and flow into Monbulk Creek in the Dandenong Ranges National Park. It has had major drainage issues becuse of residential pressure but these are being cleverly managed by the reinroduction of wetlands which trap sediment and prevent erosion. We would love you to be part of this special place but bring gumboots and gloves. Morning tea provided.
